Courtney & John | LaPlaya Beach Resort Wedding Photography
We loved working with Courtney and John through the months from their Chicago engagement to their LaPlaya beach wedding day. Don’t you love their first sight photos? They exchanged notes with each other and it made for a great moment.

What a fun wedding for us to photograph… the pretty garden-like zoo setting, lovely flowers, and a pair of zookeepers tying the knot! Did you notice the porcupine quills in the bride’s bouquet? Enjoy the photos.

Valerie & Albert | Pink Shell Beach Resort | Fort Myers Wedding Photography
Oh Valerie and Albert. It is because of you that we love all things Omaha and the people who live there. As a couple they could not have been sweeter, and as our clients they could not have been nicer! We completely enjoyed ourselves while capturing their wedding photos. It looks like they had a pretty nice time too. To add to that we had the pleasure of teaming up with some of the best pros in town to pull off a beautiful party. If you’re as in love with this wedding as us, click over to the adorable Heart Love Weddings to see their feature on Valerie and Albert’s celebration.

Megan & Matt | Plantation on Crystal River | Florida Wedding Photography
A few weeks ago we drove north to Crystal River for Megan and Matt’s wedding. The celebratory events took place at the Plantation on Crystal River, a sprawling old Florida resort. Their first sight was incredibly sweet and we had fun taking pictures under the giant mossy trees. Congratulations Megan and Matt!

Lindsay & Jeff | Ritz-Carlton Naples Golf Resort | Naples Wedding Photographer
Karl and I photographed this lovely wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Naples Golf Resort just a couple weeks ago. Lindsay and Jeff had an intimate celebration with close family and friends. The breeze that day scattered the ceremony’s rose petals across the lawn like a pink snowfall. There’s something exciting about the wind blowing through the trees, through your hair, don’t you agree? Navy and pink touches accented the pretty reception space where there was dancing, toasting, and many laughs shared. Congratulations Lindsay and Jeff, and thank you so much for having us be a part of your day!

Nicole & Stephen | Hyatt Regency Coconut Point | Naples Wedding Photography
This wedding at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point is such a treat to share. We had so much fun photographing Nicole and Stephen, from their St. Pete engagement session with their big sweet dogs to their sparkly grand exit. In addition to the photography we set up our fotobooth for their reception and shot a foto video! Of course this was all achieved with the help and talents of Angelina and Justin. Working alongside us at this event was a dream list of wedding-pros. Kelly and her team at Weddings by Socialites put together the loveliest ceremony and dinner spaces. I could go on and on about the flowers, hair and makeup, fabulous wedding party, and smiles shared between the newlyweds, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Nicole and Steve, thank you both so much for including us in your celebration. Congrats!

Terrilyn & Scott | The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort | Naples Wedding Photography
Take a look at this gorgeous wedding we recently photographed at the Ritz-Carlton Naples Golf Resort. Terrilyn and Scott were an absolute pleasure to work with and the day couldn’t have been prettier. The fabulous Robert Williamson Band entertained guests during the glowing reception. Congratulations Terrilyn and Scott, and thank you for having us capture your wedding!

Molly & Kyle | Marco Island Marriott Wedding Photography
What is it about people from the midwest? Really, they are so friendly and enjoyable to be around. That’s how we felt about Molly, Kyle, and every other person at their Marco Island Marriott wedding. The sun even set in a glow of grey and yellow to perfectly complement the day’s events. Congratulations to both of you!

Becky & Alex | The James | Downtown Chicago Wedding Photographers
It’s about time we made it back to Chicago! Karl and I used to visit several times a year when we lived in Michigan, but it’s a bit more off our beaten path these days. (In fact, we spent one of our first ever days together wandering around Chicago.) Thanks to Becky and Alex we were able to spend a long weekend enjoying the city, hanging out with their super nice family and friends, and photographing their extraordinary wedding. See some of their engagement photos here.
We were fortunate to stay at The James, just a block off of Michigan Avenue, where the wedding took place. If you’re looking for a downtown hotel I absolutely recommend The James- we had a fabulous stay! Our Friday morning involved filling fifteen massive balloons and eating some delicious croissant paninis. Not a bad way to kick off a wedding day if you ask me! Plus, carrying all of the filled balloons (to be used for photos later in the day) a few blocks to the hotel and up the elevator proved to be pretty comical.
A vintage Rolls Royce drove Alex and then Becky to their first sight at Washington Square Park. (The same park where they once had a snowball fight on a date.) It now has to be one of our all-time favorite first sights. The anxious and excited looks on their faces, the dress and the tuxedo, the beautiful park… the whole scene was just classic. The vintage car was the icing on the cake and complemented the moment perfectly. After that we headed to Millennium Park. When Becky and Alex stood underneath The Bean a crowd circled around them and cheered when they kissed! The wedding party joined us there for some fun with balloons. From there it was on to the church for the ceremony. Since we shoot mainly outdoor ceremonies in SWFL it was such a treat to shoot in a big, old, beautiful church!
Once the bride and groom were officially married the group headed back to The James for a stylish and modern reception. The space was really neat, from a room-sized chalk line drawing of the Chicago skyline to one of the most beautiful cakes we’ve seen yet. The dance floor stayed packed all night and the fotobooth kept both the kids and adults entertained. Mr. and Mrs. Hahn, we were honored to be a part of your wedding weekend. Thank you so much for having us, and congratulations!
