Becky & Alex | The James | Downtown Chicago Wedding Photographers
It’s about time we made it back to Chicago! Karl and I used to visit several times a year when we lived in Michigan, but it’s a bit more off our beaten path these days. (In fact, we spent one of our first ever days together wandering around Chicago.) Thanks to Becky and Alex we were able to spend a long weekend enjoying the city, hanging out with their super nice family and friends, and photographing their extraordinary wedding. See some of their engagement photos here.
We were fortunate to stay at The James, just a block off of Michigan Avenue, where the wedding took place. If you’re looking for a downtown hotel I absolutely recommend The James- we had a fabulous stay! Our Friday morning involved filling fifteen massive balloons and eating some delicious croissant paninis. Not a bad way to kick off a wedding day if you ask me! Plus, carrying all of the filled balloons (to be used for photos later in the day) a few blocks to the hotel and up the elevator proved to be pretty comical.
A vintage Rolls Royce drove Alex and then Becky to their first sight at Washington Square Park. (The same park where they once had a snowball fight on a date.) It now has to be one of our all-time favorite first sights. The anxious and excited looks on their faces, the dress and the tuxedo, the beautiful park… the whole scene was just classic. The vintage car was the icing on the cake and complemented the moment perfectly. After that we headed to Millennium Park. When Becky and Alex stood underneath The Bean a crowd circled around them and cheered when they kissed! The wedding party joined us there for some fun with balloons. From there it was on to the church for the ceremony. Since we shoot mainly outdoor ceremonies in SWFL it was such a treat to shoot in a big, old, beautiful church!
Once the bride and groom were officially married the group headed back to The James for a stylish and modern reception. The space was really neat, from a room-sized chalk line drawing of the Chicago skyline to one of the most beautiful cakes we’ve seen yet. The dance floor stayed packed all night and the fotobooth kept both the kids and adults entertained. Mr. and Mrs. Hahn, we were honored to be a part of your wedding weekend. Thank you so much for having us, and congratulations!

Hooray! Today our photography is featured on the Wedding Channel Blog as wedding of the day! We shot Jennifer and Annemarie’s Naples wedding this past spring at Stonebridge Country Club and it couldn’t have been a prettier event. Check out the post here and we’ll be sure to post more pics from their wedding day soon.

Priya & Ojas Part Three | Hyatt Coconut Point | Naples Indian Wedding Photographers
We’ll share these last few photos from Priya and Ojas’ wedding reception at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point. These photos of the couple outdoors are some of our favorites of the day. (Most photos taken in the evening sunlight are.) Not to mention the fact that they make a striking couple. Suhaag Garden transformed the room yet again from the ceremony space into the peacock-hued reception. How adorable are the dancing little ones? The applause for their performance was tremendous, and well deserved! A funny part of the evening happened when the dancing guests pulled the peacock feathers from the centerpieces and brought them onto the dance floor. The feathers were waving everywhere all around the newlyweds. Congrats to you both, Priya and Ojas, your day was nothing short of amazing!

Lindsey & Drew | The Burroughs Home | Fort Myers Wedding Photography
Get ready for some South Florida charm: Today we’re posting photos from Lindsey and Drew’s pretty wedding at the historic Burroughs Home in Fort Myers. What a sweet group to work with… we are so blessed in our job. Karl and I met Lindsey and the girls at Hotel Indigo downtown where they prepped for the festivities. Justin and Angelina spent the day with us making good things happen (foto videos, fotobooths, all around awesomeness.) Lindsey put on her dress once she arrived at the Burroughs Home and we spent a while taking photos with the girls in the bridal suite.
The sunny ceremony took place overlooking the river and guests gathered afterwards for drinks on the porch, including Lindsey and Drew’s signature cocktail. After a few more photos and a first dance the night was all about grooving to the tunes, enjoying the delicious food, and snapping away in the fotobooth. In a few weeks we will meet with Lindsey and Drew again for a post-wedding session, one of the most fun shoots around. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Pierson, and thank you so much for having us!

Priya & Ojas Part Two | Hyatt Coconut Point | Naples Indian Wedding Photographer
If you missed part one of Priya & Ojas’ wedding photography post click here. Today we’re sharing the beautiful Indian ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs. The peacock-designed ceremony was created by Suhaag Garden. Watching the whole event unfold through my lens gave me the chills. The moment Priya was carried in was straight out of a movie. After the ceremony Suhaag Garden transformed the space into a glowing reception setup. In one more post we’ll share the remainder of the photos.

Grandezza Golf and Country Club
I had to post this image taken at a wedding photo shoot for Grandezza. We took this image on the bridge where the water behind Angelina has such an amazing mystic quality.

Priya & Ojas Part One | Hyatt Regency Coconut Point | Naples Indian Wedding Photographers
We’re excited to share this knockout of a wedding here on our blog. Taking part in such a big and bright celebration as an Indian wedding was an incredible experience, both for Karl, me, and our assistants! Priya and Ojas looked like absolute royalty and they were a pleasure to photograph. The color and the details had us over the moon. Both the bride and groom’s families were more than gracious in guiding us through traditions that were unfamiliar to us. Needless to say we took a lot of photos.
Their wedding day took place at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs. After a first sight, Ojas made a grand arrival on horseback to the awaiting families… Only to be outdone by Priya’s stunning entrance into the ceremony. Jilna and her team at Suhaag Garden completely transformed one of the ballrooms into the most beautiful space. We gasped when we entered the room! But we’ll show you that in the next post.

when it rains | fort myers wedding photography
Just as we were finishing our last few photos at this Fort Myers wedding, the rain set in. In the second photo you can see the rain (especially if you look at the groom), they were running as fast as they could for the limo, but I couldn’t help but stop and capture this moment!
I love this bamboo area!

Martha & Tom | St. John the Evangelist | Naples Wedding Photography
Friends, let us tell you how much we enjoyed being a part of Martha and Tom’s wedding celebration. (Picture us both with our arms outstretched.) Martha’s laughter is absolutely contagious while Tom is such a gentleman! Martha’s home was one of many destroyed by the Tuscaloosa Tornado and many of her wedding items were lost just two months before the big day. Despite the destruction it was wonderful to watch our local wedding community pull together to make sure their wedding went off without a hitch.
The couple held their July wedding at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples. What a wonderful place to photograph a ceremony with all the stained glass and natural light available. Tom composed a song for their ceremony that he dedicated to his bride. At the church reception, Kelly McWilliams and her lovely team at Weddings by Socialites treated wedding guests to some southern charm, complete with a sweet tea bar and all! You have to love the touches of cast iron, lace, and those custom mason jar mugs. The lovely wedding flowers were done by none other than Signature Florals.
Congratulations Martha and Tom! We think it’s super cool that you honeymooned on the east coast of Canada. Be well!

Emma & John | The Ritz-Carlton Naples | Naples Wedding Photographers
A couple weeks ago we were pleased to photograph Emma and John’s beautiful wedding at the Naples Ritz-Carlton. We met Emma and her family at the Salon in the Ritz to capture hair and makeup photos. The two of them make such a handsome couple. And they couldn’t have been easier to get along with either. They were all smiles all day. How great is it that we’re able to work with lovely people like Emma and John!
Their ceremony took place in a cozy hedged garden that suited their wedding and guests perfectly. Look at the way they smile at each other as they walk down the aisle as a married couple! The guests were all good sports as we took a few quick family photos, and then it was off to cocktail hour! Emma and John held their reception in the Beach House where the sky graced them with a glowing sunset. Cute cake topper, isn’t it? We really enjoyed photographing at the Ritz, it was all just gorgeous and so well done. Congrats Emma and John and thank you for having us!
Just look at the view! It’s a beautiful place we live in, isn’t it?
