These next wedding photos we have to share are of Lauren and Ian’s pretty day at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort. The clouds threatened to rain on the parade, but of course the sun came shining through for the ceremony on the lawn. Capturing this couple’s day was absolutely enjoyable. Lauren and Ian are such kind and genuine people, always smiling. During their engagement, Ian had broken his leg, and I believe had been off his crutches for a matter of weeks!

We had the chance to work alongside Hope Henderson, who does wonders with makeup. Check out her site here. One of Lauren’s bridesmaids was our friend Amanda of Grace Lakes Florist. The flowers were an especially beautiful part of the wedding, they did such fantastic work. Lauren’s bridal bouquet was composed of incredibly fragrant garden roses. The bridesmaid’s bouquets were surrounded by large dark leaves that provided such a nice contrast to the pink flowers. Colorful centerpieces punctuated the reception tables.

Music for the cocktail hour and the reception were done by none other than the Brett Foreman Band. (Who, by the way, we love love love.) The toasts given at the reception were especially fun to listen to because they were all very heartfelt. Guests at this event also win the prize for taking the most photos in the fotobooth to date. Over one thousand! Notice our shiny new marching band hat, found at an antique store. Lauren and Ian, thank you for including us in your day, we wish you all the best!

Sara and Nate were married at the Pink Shell Beach Resort on Fort Myers Beach. We always enjoy our days photographing at the Pink Shell thanks to the wonderful staff. And Sara and Nate are both that super-friendly, disarming type and they immediately welcomed us to their wedding day. Congrats you two!

We had such a good time photographing Lizzy and Nate’s would-be beach wedding at La Playa Beach & Golf Resort. Even though the summer skies pushed Lizzy’s ceremony indoors, she was such a good sport and just giddy about everything! More than once she called out, “It’s dress day!” followed by clapping or a little dance. Their family and friends traveled from all around the country for their wedding, and Liz and Nate are from Colorado themselves. Luckily LaPlaya is beautiful outdoors and in, what with all the candlelight and chandeliers. Everything glows. After the wedding ceremony, we did make it outside for some sunny shots on the gorgeous shore of the Gulf. As many times as I see it, the sunset here is never short of spectacular. The reception included the best rendition of Sweet Caroline we’ve heard yet. (And we’ve heard it a lot.) Congratulations Lizzy and Nate, we’re so happy to have been a part of your day. And now for Katie and JD’s pretty spring wedding at The Inn on Fifth! They were married first in a small catholic church ceremony, and shortly after in a larger beach ceremony. The latter took place on the lawn at 8th Street, the aisle lined with breezy palms and views of the Gulf of Mexico. Talk about style: Katie wore a gardenia and a bit of vintage lace in her hair (I believe from her grandmother’s dress?) And her bridesmaids were so lovely in their shades of peach and green. Cocktail hour and the reception took place at The Inn on Fifth, right in the center of downtown Naples. The couple and their guests danced the night away poolside on the roof of the Inn. Yesterday we photographed a gorgeous wedding at The Naples Beach Hotel for Andrea and Brett. We couldn’t have asked for a happier couple or a prettier day. Andrea and Brett were pros in front of our cameras as we made our way around the property snapping so many fun shots. The Naples Beach Hotel has many visually intriguing backdrops, from the beach to the lush greenery to the texture of the walls. The Jewish ceremony took place on the lawn adjacent to the beach just before sunset. A steel drummer set the tone for the cocktail hour.

Andrea kept her baby blue and chocolate brown scheme running through her reception decor, as seen on the candlelit tables. It’s always entertaining to watch the couple teetering above the crowd during the hora. Nearby, we set up the fotobooth (our own version of the old school photo booth) and spread out the props. We’re still a little amazed at how much attention our little fotobooth gets… it was slammed! Later in the evening came la hora loca, which is what it sounds like. Everyone dances around with maracas, whistles, blow-up guitars, and silly hats. We had lots of fun with Andrea, Brett, and their sweet families. Thanks for having us, we wish you all the best!
