Lauren & Sean | The Club at Barefoot Beach | Bonita Springs Wedding Photographers

We really enjoyed ourselves photographing Lauren and Sean’s wedding. The two of them are super nice, and so cute together, that we knew we were getting some great photos right off the bat. Just look at the huge smile on Lauren’s face as she meets Sean for the first time that day. Their wedding celebration was held at The Club at Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs. Their top floor reception space has recently been renovated and it’s a really beautiful venue with amazing beach views.

The weather was so favorable that day with the exception of some ceremony rain! That’s good luck, no? The ceremony commenced after a brief shower, only to start raining during the vows! Karl and I had to think fast to cover our cameras and continue shooting. If you look closely at their “you may now kiss the bride” moment, you’ll see it. All the while they were smiling away as if they didn’t even notice. Congratulations Lauren and Sean… have fun being newlywed!

St Petersburg Florida Wedding | Beach Ceremony | Grand Plaza Hotel

Shelby and Chris were married last weekend on a blustery day on St. Petersburg Beach at the Grand Plaza Hotel. Karl and I had such fun taking their wedding photographs. Shelby incorporated some sweet details into her day, such as a custom wire hanger from LilaFrances. The bridesmaids and flower girl were really cute in their pinkness and ruffles, and the bouquets of peonies were just gorgeous.

The rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits a bit. Like so often happens, the sun came out for their beach ceremony, only for fifteen minutes or so. (I love being able to reassure brides that the sun will shine, because it always does! And hey, even if it doesn’t you still get married.) Under the Grand Plaza’s sparkling chandeliers, guests enjoyed a panoramic view of the Gulf. In addition to cheesecake and wedding cake, Shelby and Chris had a candy buffet of all things pink created by Natalie Clamp of Chic Sweets. Congratulations Shelby and Chris, we wish you all the best!
