Ashley & Nick | Southwest Florida Wedding Photographers
Ashley and Nick pulled together the sweetest celebration with the help of Wed Perfect and a handful of other local talents. Their wedding day festivities were held at the White Orchid at Oasis near downtown Fort Myers. The White Orchid is a charming spot on the river, one of those places that you could pass by unless you knew it was there.

Stephanie & Jerome | Testimonial | Hyatt Regency Coconut Point | Bonita Springs Wedding
Dear Karl and Nanette,
The photos are breathtaking! You both did such an incredible job capturing the beauty of each moment. It is so refreshing to look at the pictures and be transported back to that special day. Everything seemed to fly by and now I can spend as much time as I want looking at each picture and reliving it all again!! I was very impressed (and grateful) with how efficient and organized you both were which allowed the day and night to unfold in a smooth and relaxed manner. It amazed me that you had complete control over such a robust crowd while maintaining a friendly and spirited disposition! I love how the natural landscape (trees/flowers/water) is incorporated in the pictures as Jerome and I both enjoy spending time outdoors. It’s true that a picture is worth a thousand words; seeing the emotions reflected in the faces of our friends and family is priceless to me. You captured every moment of such a special day for Jerome and I and we are extremely grateful. Thank you for your hard work!! Jerome and I will look over the pictures and somehow (although it seems impossible) narrow down the choices for the albums. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Kalo

A sweet review from a recent bride of ours:
You will not find better wedding photographers than Karl and Nanette! I love them so much and am so thankful to have had them on board as a part of our special day. From the beginning they were easy to work with and truly helped us make our wedding a memorable event. They are simply wonderful people with a passion for their work and I cannot say enough good things about them!
Lindsey & Drew | The Burroughs Home | Fort Myers Wedding Photography
Get ready for some South Florida charm: Today we’re posting photos from Lindsey and Drew’s pretty wedding at the historic Burroughs Home in Fort Myers. What a sweet group to work with… we are so blessed in our job. Karl and I met Lindsey and the girls at Hotel Indigo downtown where they prepped for the festivities. Justin and Angelina spent the day with us making good things happen (foto videos, fotobooths, all around awesomeness.) Lindsey put on her dress once she arrived at the Burroughs Home and we spent a while taking photos with the girls in the bridal suite.
The sunny ceremony took place overlooking the river and guests gathered afterwards for drinks on the porch, including Lindsey and Drew’s signature cocktail. After a few more photos and a first dance the night was all about grooving to the tunes, enjoying the delicious food, and snapping away in the fotobooth. In a few weeks we will meet with Lindsey and Drew again for a post-wedding session, one of the most fun shoots around. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Pierson, and thank you so much for having us!

Kristy & Ben Part 2 | The Burroughs Home | Fort Myers Wedding Photographers
Now to share more from the happy day of the darling Kristy and Ben. Their wedding ceremony behind the Burroughs Home overlooked the river. Guests picked up programs from a bike basket and then grabbed vintage hankies to wipe their tears of joy. The rippled water provided a pretty backdrop for their marriage, and everyone in attendance threw in a shell for the newlywed couple. After a group photo on the front porch Kristy and Ben made their way down the stairs towards an evening of partying. (There’s something so dramatic about a trailing veil that sweeps around corners.)
The reception took place under twinkling trees. Kristy collected vintage milk glass to use for the centerpieces. The little lovebirds perched on the cake? Too charming. Everyone dined on good old barbecue! To say it was a great party would be an understatement. As for the fotobooth… let’s just say a good time was had by all. (By now, when it comes to the fotobooth, we like to say we’ve seen it all. At least we hope so!) Along with our friend Justin we also created a foto video for them. Some of Kristy’s family and friends knew about the foto video, and during the reception they started circling Kristy and Ben on the dance floor. The dancers became a blurry circle around the couple while they stood absolutely still, for minutes. What a surreal moment that must have been for the two of them! Kristy and Ben, it was truly a pleasure to be a part of your celebration.
Kristy & Ben Part 1 | The Burroughs Home | Fort Myers Wedding Photographers
Where do we begin? From the moment we met Kristy and her mom and sis, we knew something good was about to happen. Then we met Ben, and we were smitten. And what’s more, their Burroughs Home wedding was filled to the brim with stylish details. Have a look at their sweet engagement session (also at the Burroughs Home) by clicking here.
We started our day at Kristy and Ben’s Fort Myers home where the mood seemed light and spirited. Kristy, an emerging wedding and events planner herself, thought of everything down to the last creative detail. After the finishing touches, Kristy made her way downtown to meet Ben for their first sight. We loved the way her veil encircled them and moved around wildly in the wind while they took a few moments to themselves.
Weddings at the Burroughs Home in Fort Myers are so full of charm. The property and the home itself offer so many great spots to snap away to our heart’s content. The flowers, by Signature Florals, were composed of the prettiest hues and blooms. Love the sparkly brooch! I had fun taking a few photos of Kristy on the pink cushy chair. We had Kristy and Ben in the big claw foot tub too, of course! Next up: Kristy and Ben’s ceremony and reception.
Something old, something new.
Ben is waiting to glimpse Kristy for the first time on their wedding day. We call this a first sight or first look.
Sue Bain of Signature Florals does the most stunning work. That subtle color palette blows me away!
Bridal Social | Fort Myers Wedding Photographers
Yesterday we were pleased to be a part of the Bridal Social at Hotel Indigo in downtown Fort Myers. The Bridal Social is part of the Lemonade Wedding, a complete wedding giveaway for a deserving couple. (Sometimes when life gives you lemons, you at least get a free wedding!) The show took place in a pretty arcade lit by big skylights. In addition to meeting quite a few cool brides, we had a chance to chat with our local vendor friends, old and new. (Which reminds me, it’s been awhile since I reminded you all of the fabulousness of Salon International. Everyone they touch turns into a model!) Afterwards, Hotel Indigo had the vendors stay for drinks and hors d’oeuvres, which was a treat. To Calleen and Racheal of Studio Six Eleven, thanks for having us! We will have the same setup at the Bridal Blast this coming Sunday in Estero… please come say hi!
NAWP | Gateway Golf & Country Club | Fort Myers Wedding Photographers
We set up the fotobooth at last night’s Fort Myers NAWP (National Association of Wedding Professional) annual membership meeting. The gathering was held at the Gateway Golf & Country Club. We always enjoy taking wacky shots of each other, and apparently everyone else did too!

Kaliopi & Valanti | Colonial Country Club | Fort Myers Wedding Photographer
There’s much to love about the big Greek wedding of Kaliopi and Valanti. We kicked off the day with the girls at Studio RK Salon in Fort Myers. Once the bridal party was feeling their most glamourous, the girls and the guys put on the finishing touches at separate residences. Aren’t the touches of blue throughout the wedding pretty?
The wedding ceremony took place at a Greek Orthodox church in Fort Myers. Orthodox churches always have the most interesting and colorful interiors, full of gold leafed religious figures and red candles. The newlyweds held their reception at Colonial Country Club in Fort Myers. We witnessed fotobooth fun, miles of dancers circling one another, and happy guests laughing the night away. One of our favorite moments of the night was Karl in the center of the dance floor, photographing the guests dancing around him. He’s just so tall that sometimes I have to laugh. Congratulations Kaliopi and Valanti! Don’t forget to check our their amazing engagement photos.
Kaliopi & Valanti | Sanibel Island Engagement Photographers
Karl and I quite like when we have a photo shoot on Sanibel Island. Sanibel and Captiva are our favorite spots in the area, a place where we spend birthdays and the rare free day. We’re really up for going anywhere when it comes to engagement sessions. All the better if the engaged couple has a personal connection to the spot, such as a first date or proposal site. And then there are the locations that have their own appeal: I’ve been wanting to do engagement photos in a citrus grove for ages. I think I’ll keep mentioning it on the blog until someone takes me up on it.
Kaliopi and Valanti met us near the Sanibel lighthouse, and from there we meandered about, snapping shots along the way. It was a very casual and relaxing setting… while their busy Greek wedding was another story, but fun nonetheless!
UPDATE: Check out Kaliopi & Valanti’s wedding pictures.
