Their wedding took place at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Myers Beach. We had fun capturing Julie getting ready with her mom and friends, pretty shoes, dresses, and bright colors all around. We all held our breath while frantically searching the room for Julie’s missing wedding ring… Thankfully it had just slipped from the box and was found in the bottom of a bag! After a few pink smoothies to keep cool we led Julie to Matt for their first sight. They first glimpsed one another in the butterfly garden, where their ceremony was to be held hours later. Taking advantage of the time we made a quick trip to the pier area and Times Square, which is so casual and colorful.

I drew in my breath as Julie walked down the aisle to “Part of Your World” played on the violin and harp. It was magical. (When that movie came out I was five, and I remember dancing in front of my chair in the theatre.) Sea grapes shaded the altar and the whole wedding party looked so perfect. Following the ceremony everyone made their way to cocktail hour and we set up the fotobooth. Overlooking the beach, Julie, Matt and their guests danced the night away, including two applaudable guests on crutches! The fotobooth was occupied all evening, largely by Julie’s little brother, hamming it up. They were such a great group, and we really enjoyed our day with them. Congratulations Julie and Matt, all the best!

Here’s a sneak peak from the most recent fotobooth at Bob and Joie’s wedding. Our fotobooth is a modern take on the classic photo booth in which you jump in front of a backdrop to take your own photos with a remote. The photos pop up on a screen for viewing, you can take as many as you like, and the photos are later posted online for $1. We’ll post more from Bob and Joie’s wedding shortly!

Just before the holidays, Nancy and Austin tied the knot in a beautiful garden ceremony at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club in St. Pete’s. Their wedding included some wonderful details, which are always fun to shoot. (Nancy’s lace Vera Wang dress was seriously beautiful.) We wish you the best Nancy and Austin!

Inevitably, some wedding mornings start off grey and rainy. But what I love is that most often the sun peeks out minutes before the ceremony. (Although should it rain at the Pink Shell you get those fun pink umbrellas.) This was the story at our own wedding, and also for Annel and Owen, who had a wonderful day celebrating with family and friends. Check out their cute sandcastle. Congrats you two, you were wonderful to work with!

We had a great turnout at our party with Sassy Cakes. Thanks so much again to all you beautiful people for making an appearance! The girls had an oh so delicious cupcake feast up for grabs and the fotobooth was a hit. Have a look at our gallery to see all the party pics. This past Saturday Nanette and I spent the day on Fort Myers Beach at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa for Jamie & Edward’s sunset beach wedding. I had the pleasure to shoot with Julie Brewer who drove from Orlando. She’ll be second shooting with me in Italy for my upcoming wedding in September. We were able to capture some amazing photos and I really look forward to designing their wedding album.

Melissa and Michael tied the knot last weekend at the nearby Stonebridge Country Club in Naples. Michael surprised everyone by arriving at the alter in a rocker wig, and the reception followed in the rock ‘n roll theme. The entire wedding party held up tremendously well in the summer heat… we always have to give them a hand! Congratulations to the two of you, enjoy the honeymoon!

Jen and Steve were married this past weekend with the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa and the Gulf as a sparkling backdrop for their ceremony. The whole group was laid back and in high spirits, which makes for a fun shoot for us. It doesn’t hurt that Jen has the most infectious laugh. Congrats you two!

I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about this wedding yet. As you may of know from Facebook, I’ve been in VA shooting a wedding with Melissa & Russell’s Wedding. I realized that I’m starting to fall behind. Ann & Zac’s wedding took place at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa, A beautiful location for a beautiful wedding. We had this amazing cloud cover that offered some great diffused lighting during the ceremony, but with the cloud cover came some heavy rain. Within minutes of the ceremony the rain started. We captured a few really great shots with umbrellas from the Pink Shell. The resorts attention to details was amazing, congrats to Dony and her staff for doing such a great job. With the weather turning south on us, I’m going to meet up with Ann & Zac again to capture some great sunset photos. Keep checking back to see those photos.
