Last month, some of our dearest family and friends met to celebrate my dad’s surprise 60th birthday. The evening came together so beautifully and we are so grateful for the talents that made the party extra special. Set against the backdrop of the asian garden at the Naples Botanical Garden, our guests sipped rum cocktails while listening to the musical genius of Brett Foreman. The hors d’oeuvres and four course meal were nothing if not spectacular… Chef Greg and his crew know what’s up! We ended our evening playing in the fotobooth at the after party. Thank you to our guests for traveling from near and far, to the talented people who made it all happen, and to my dad for giving us a reason to celebrate.

For the record, my dad is not what you would call an Obama supporter. But he is a good sport.

Earlier this year we photographed an eco chic styled shoot at the Naples Botanical Garden. Jennifer of Wed Perfect came up with a wonderful concept: we shot one setup of what one might imagine an eco wedding to look like, and then we repurposed many of the same eco materials into a second, more glamorous wedding shoot. Remember this great engagement shoot? Nicole and Steve’s wedding at the Naples Botanical Garden was just as wonderful. Not only did they choose the local Gardens, which are a dream to photograph in, they also incorporated eco-friendly features into their wedding day. I’ll describe more of their handmade and eco details in part two of their blog post. Sir Daniel and Faces by Frohmberg did the wow hair and makeup for the day. Isn’t Nicole gorgeous?
