Brittani & Dustin | Naples Beach Hotel | Naples Wedding Photographers
Karl and I shot this sweet little wedding at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. Brittani and Dustin stood up to some blustery Gulf winds to get married on the shore. Doesn’t everyone in the wedding look so effortlessly pretty and handsome? Funny moment: A little boy almost stole the show during their casual first dance on the beach. He caught everyones’ attention with some karate dance moves! We never know what’s in store for us when we show up to a wedding. Only that it’s going to be a big party, and that we’re ready for it all, cameras in hand. Congratulations Brittani and Dustin, we wish you more than the best!
Marquis & Andrew | foto video | Naples Wedding Photographer
Our wedding foto videos capture the action and glory of the wedding day and condense the madness into a neat little two minutes. They’re quite fun to watch and share with friends. See for yourself! Oh yeah don’t forget to check out their wedding day pictures, day after session and engagement photos.
Marquis & Andrew | Spanish Wells Country Club | Naples Wedding Photographer
To celebrate the wedding of Marquis and Andrew, we kicked off the day at the Felix Andrews Salon at Coconut Point. Marquis made her way down the street to Sephora for her makeup. The bridesmaids were pretty in their green J.Crew dresses. In the afternoon sun Marquis and Andrew were married at the same Bonita Springs beach where, once upon a time, they first met at a party. The skies were windy and sunny and it was just a gorgeous day. The couple help their wedding reception at Spanish Wells Golf and Country Club. Congratulations to the both of you! Oh yeah don’t forget to check out their wedding fotovideo, day after session and engagement photos.
Jen & Justin | LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort | Naples Wedding Photographers
Our friends Jen and Justin were married under sunny skies at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort. With the lush backdrop of LaPlaya and pretty pops of pink coloring their day, it was a treat to photograph. Not to mention Jen and Justin are so sweet and easygoing. Oh, and their wedding party was a fun group… it was pretty much a big party. (That’s really what Karl and I do, right? We go to a big party every weekend.)
During the reception, the fotobooth shots splashed across a large monitor for guests to view as they happened. (Usually they’re just on the small fotobooth monitor.) It was great to see the wackiness from all the way across the dance floor. Another funny bit was the handful of letters I brought, only enough to spell “Jen Loves Justin.” Karl and I were quite surprised at how many words the partygoers could spell with that limitation! I must admit, I think a few drinks helped their creativity. It proved to be such a hit that we now have a full set of letters in our prop basket for spelling to your heart’s content! Congrats Jen and Justin on your newlywed status!
P.S. Justin worked with us on a foto video about the way he met Jen… and then played it at their reception to their guests’ delight. The result was adorable; we’ll have to post it soon. That, and their wedding foto video! I think Karl and I have watched it twenty times. So keep checking in, there’s more to come.
Marquis & Andrew Engaged | Naples Engagement Photography
Marquis and Andrew had us take their engagement photos on 3rd Street in Old Naples. It’s always nice to have an excuse to stroll around the pier at sunset (not that we need one.) We’re looking forward to their October wedding at the Spanish Wells Golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs. Oh yeah don’t forget to check out their wedding fotovideo, wedding day pictures and day after session.
Liz & Nate | LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort | Naples Wedding Photographers
We had such a good time photographing Lizzy and Nate’s would-be beach wedding at La Playa Beach & Golf Resort. Even though the summer skies pushed Lizzy’s ceremony indoors, she was such a good sport and just giddy about everything! More than once she called out, “It’s dress day!” followed by clapping or a little dance. Their family and friends traveled from all around the country for their wedding, and Liz and Nate are from Colorado themselves. Luckily LaPlaya is beautiful outdoors and in, what with all the candlelight and chandeliers. Everything glows. After the wedding ceremony, we did make it outside for some sunny shots on the gorgeous shore of the Gulf. As many times as I see it, the sunset here is never short of spectacular. The reception included the best rendition of Sweet Caroline we’ve heard yet. (And we’ve heard it a lot.) Congratulations Lizzy and Nate, we’re so happy to have been a part of your day. Alli & Alex Engaged | Naples Engagement Photographers
We were so glad to meet Alli and Alex in anticipation of their California country wedding. Accompanied by their ever-so-tiny chihuahua, we wandered 3rd Street in Old Naples, where little corners just beg to be photographed. The clouds threatened us for the whole shoot, but somehow the rain held off until the very end. Alli and Alex go to school together at the University of Florida. More recently we traveled to the San Francisco area for their backyard wedding, so we have more to share still!
Julie & Matt | Pink Shell Beach Resort | Fort Myers Wedding Photographers
So Julie and Matt remind us of someone we know: us. They recently moved here from across the country, no family in the area. Once they unpacked they bought a puppy. Just a cute little newlywed family of sorts. And we can completely relate to that. There’s something wonderful about beginning married life in unexplored territory with just each other. Have a look at Julie and Matt’s two engagement shoots here.
Their wedding took place at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Myers Beach. We had fun capturing Julie getting ready with her mom and friends, pretty shoes, dresses, and bright colors all around. We all held our breath while frantically searching the room for Julie’s missing wedding ring… Thankfully it had just slipped from the box and was found in the bottom of a bag! After a few pink smoothies to keep cool we led Julie to Matt for their first sight. They first glimpsed one another in the butterfly garden, where their ceremony was to be held hours later. Taking advantage of the time we made a quick trip to the pier area and Times Square, which is so casual and colorful.
I drew in my breath as Julie walked down the aisle to “Part of Your World” played on the violin and harp. It was magical. (When that movie came out I was five, and I remember dancing in front of my chair in the theatre.) Sea grapes shaded the altar and the whole wedding party looked so perfect. Following the ceremony everyone made their way to cocktail hour and we set up the fotobooth. Overlooking the beach, Julie, Matt and their guests danced the night away, including two applaudable guests on crutches! The fotobooth was occupied all evening, largely by Julie’s little brother, hamming it up. They were such a great group, and we really enjoyed our day with them. Congratulations Julie and Matt, all the best!
Chrissy and Jeff | Windstar on Naples Bay | Naples Wedding Photography
We were clued in to Jeff and Chrissy’s good natured sense of humor during their engagement session, and their wedding was no different. Needless to say we were in for a fun wedding day. The wedding party started their day at The Inn on Fifth where they prepped for the festivities. After a few photos on the balcony overlooking downtown Naples, we headed to the church. The wedding party traveled by trolley to the Garden of Hope and Courage at NCH. The bridal party had fun posing with some of the statues, and the flower girl celebrated by throwing flower petals.
Jeff and Chrissy held their reception at the Windstar on Naples Bay. From our standpoint it was a great place to shoot: big windows and full of light. A live band entertained the packed dance floor, the food was wonderful, and to top it off, they had cheesecake pops instead of a wedding cake! Not to mention a groom’s cake. We also had the pleasure of working with Kelly of No Worries Wedding & Events. If you’re in need of a wedding planner, check out her site! Chrissy and Jeff, thank you for including us in your day, you’re wonderful together!
We love referral weddings. They often give us the chance to see and photograph a previous couple of ours. And we especially love when they are still very much in love. Check out Chelsea and Jason’s wedding photos by clicking here.
Katie & JD | The Inn on Fifth | Naples Wedding Photographers
And now for Katie and JD’s pretty spring wedding at The Inn on Fifth! They were married first in a small catholic church ceremony, and shortly after in a larger beach ceremony. The latter took place on the lawn at 8th Street, the aisle lined with breezy palms and views of the Gulf of Mexico. Talk about style: Katie wore a gardenia and a bit of vintage lace in her hair (I believe from her grandmother’s dress?) And her bridesmaids were so lovely in their shades of peach and green. Cocktail hour and the reception took place at The Inn on Fifth, right in the center of downtown Naples. The couple and their guests danced the night away poolside on the roof of the Inn. If you’re planning a local wedding, have a look at the Inn, it provides some very beautiful settings. Thank you Katie and JD for including us in your day, we wish you all the best!
Karl and I have been extra busy these past couple months and now have lots of fun photos to share here on our blog! More to come shortly…
