Rachel & Sam | Hilton Naples | Naples Wedding Photography
On their wedding day, we met Rachel and Sam at The Garden of Hope and Courage at NCH for their first sight. They are so sweet together, and short dresses are so fun, no? After some garden photos, we headed to the Hilton Naples, where their ceremony and reception took place. Something we had not witnessed before was a ceremony in sign language. Rachel and Sam also took turns signing their vows to each other. It was beautiful to watch. They performed the song Modern Nature by Sondre Lerche during their reception, both singing and Sam on the guitar. And another noteworthy moment of the night was Rachel changing into a pair of Converse for dancing. Congratulations Rachel and Sam, we wish you all the best!
Kaliopi & Valanti | Colonial Country Club | Fort Myers Wedding Photographer
There’s much to love about the big Greek wedding of Kaliopi and Valanti. We kicked off the day with the girls at Studio RK Salon in Fort Myers. Once the bridal party was feeling their most glamourous, the girls and the guys put on the finishing touches at separate residences. Aren’t the touches of blue throughout the wedding pretty?
The wedding ceremony took place at a Greek Orthodox church in Fort Myers. Orthodox churches always have the most interesting and colorful interiors, full of gold leafed religious figures and red candles. The newlyweds held their reception at Colonial Country Club in Fort Myers. We witnessed fotobooth fun, miles of dancers circling one another, and happy guests laughing the night away. One of our favorite moments of the night was Karl in the center of the dance floor, photographing the guests dancing around him. He’s just so tall that sometimes I have to laugh. Congratulations Kaliopi and Valanti! Don’t forget to check our their amazing engagement photos.
Naples Florida Wedding | Sunset Beach Ceremony | the Naples Hilton
Karl and I were pleased last month to shoot Bob and Joie’s wedding at the Naples Hilton. What can we say about Bob and Joie… they are a lovely lovely couple. They must have been models in a past life… they made our jobs easy! We began the day at the Naples Hilton with some shots of the guys at the pool area. Next we captured the girls getting ready. A shuttle carried everyone to a nearby Naples beach for the ceremony. The Hilton has a gorgeous, minimal-yet-large-scale cross as an altar. After some sunset photos we made it to 5th Avenue (downtown Naples) for a shot in front of the Sugden Community Theater where all the trees are beautifully lit. Back at the Hilton for the reception, wedding guests packed the dance floor… and they definitely made good use of the fotobooth (photo booth), as you’ll see here. After a sparkler send off, we grabbed a few extra sparklers and found a dark corner to play around with the light and shapes. Congrats Bob and Joie!
Naples Florida Wedding | Naples Sailing & Yacht Club | Natalie & AJ
Natalie and AJ were married last Saturday amongst a happy crowd of family and friends. We had the opportunity to shoot with our new friend Heidi, and between the three of us, we have lots of great photos. Following the ceremony, we took some quick shots in the 3rd Street area, and then onto the the reception at the Naples Sailing & Yacht Club. The fotobooth made it’s debut wedding appearance, and the guests took full advantage. Congratulations to the handsome couple. You’re wonderful together and we wish you well!

Fort Myers Beach Wedding | Pink Shell Beach & Resort | Jamie & Edward
This past Saturday Nanette and I spent the day on Fort Myers Beach at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa for Jamie & Edward’s sunset beach wedding. I had the pleasure to shoot with Julie Brewer who drove from Orlando. She’ll be second shooting with me in Italy for my upcoming wedding in September. We were able to capture some amazing photos and I really look forward to designing their wedding album.
Coconut Point Hyatt Wedding | Bonita Springs, FL | Mor & David
Just yesterday we were privileged to shoot this gorgeous wedding at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Estero. Mor and David had the most gorgeous day and such a wonderful crowd of friends and family. From their first sight of each other to the glittering reception, the wedding was unforgettable. Congratulations to you both!
Stonebridge Country Club Wedding | Naples, Florida | Melissa & Michael
Melissa and Michael tied the knot last weekend at the nearby Stonebridge Country Club in Naples. Michael surprised everyone by arriving at the alter in a rocker wig, and the reception followed in the rock ‘n roll theme. The entire wedding party held up tremendously well in the summer heat… we always have to give them a hand! Congratulations to the two of you, enjoy the honeymoon!
This is their first look at each other. Look at the emotion on Melissa’s face!
Naples, Florida Engagement Photography | Natalie & AJ
I think we have a new favorite spot to shoot engagement photos in Naples. We recently met Natalie and AJ on 3rd Street for the most beautifully lit evening. That area is full of lush green hedges and hidden doorways. The couple did a wonderful job of making each other smile, as you can see below. Thanks Natalie and AJ, we can’t wait to shoot your wedding!

Fort Myers Beach Wedding Photography | Pink Shell Beach & Resort Reception
Jen and Steve were married this past weekend with the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa and the Gulf as a sparkling backdrop for their ceremony. The whole group was laid back and in high spirits, which makes for a fun shoot for us. It doesn’t hurt that Jen has the most infectious laugh. Congrats you two!
Naples, Florida Engagement Photography
Wow, it’s been almost a month of no postings. It’s been a crazy month, and I promise to get back to posting more. I had a great holiday. My wife and I stayed in Florida to winter out the holidays, while our families enjoyed the wonderful cold white Christmas up north. Our dog Iso enjoyed a new toy so much that she wore out the squeaker, and the replacement squeaker, within 2 hours of having the toy. A FYI lesson for next year, more replacement squeakers.
Just before and then again after Christmas I met up with Melissa and Michael for their engagement shoot. You know that feeling when you meet a couple and you just know they are right for each other? After two shoots on two different days, I can safely say they are madly in love. These two have a great life ahead of them, and I wish them the best. Thanks for being such great sports and for letting me get to know you.
